On May 21, a Ukrainian Family Day was full of crafting and building. When entering the creative studio, in addition to the wonderful smell of food, there was a warm and cozy atmosphere. All the families were enjoying the activities in different corners of VIVISTOP Telliskivi studio. By the end of the day, there was a heartwarming sense of community, where the language barrier was almost non-existent.
Check out short recap video of the Family Day on Instagram.

On the Family Day, the children and their parents took part in four workshops — a kite building, jewellery workshop, collage creating and of course cooking with Carlo on the kitchen island.

“The kitchen is the heart of home” and so it is also in VIVISTOP Telliskivi. Carlo and Kaja started the day with cooking and families joined in — so that everyone could have food by lunch time. For lunch they made delicious cauliflower sandwiches and cookies.

The wood workshop room was full of busy bees working on their kites. Tiiu-Triin Tigase gave us strong kite material for building the magnificent kites. Thank you for that!

The collage making workshop was conducted by VIVITA volunteers Dasha, David, Yaroslava and Mariya. By the end of the day there were many exciting collages from many different locations — a seaside lighthouse, a beach, a garage between fields and so on…

On Family Day, Lara Craft women Mimi and Vita, who are making jewellery for support of Ukraine, visited us again. We met them in the beginning of May, and after the workshop that they held for vivinauts, they were more than ready to take part of the Ukrainian Family Day, too.

Check them out on Instagram @ laracraft_forukraine.

We are so grateful to the volunteers who, in addition to translating, took the initiative to conduct a workshop. Thank you, thank you, thank you — Dasha, Yaroslava, Mariya, Daniel and Kaja!

Check out the Family Day gallery. See you at the next Ukrainian Family Day! Slava Ukraina!
